Population, question and limitations

Share of internet users aged 15 and older reported as using online social networks at least occasionally during the past six months, within the stated demographic group or geography.

The 15–24 group includes both teenagers and adults; it cannot be relabelled as “teens.” NTIA selected one internet user aged 15+ per eligible household for the activity questions. A household respondent may answer on that person's behalf.

Sex, education, income, race, disability and state describe the selected person or their household according to NTIA's definitions. They do not identify use of any named platform.
